In the event of emergencies..
- Do not panic!
- Contain the problem only if it is safe to do so.
- In case of fire, vacate the premises, close all doors, and inform the building management by hitting the BREAK GLASS UNIT
in the corridor. Tackle the fire ONLY if it is SAFE to do so.
- In case of water leakage from a burst pipe, shut off the STOPCOCK immediately preceding the leak (it is under the sink
in the kitchen). Or inform Building Management to shut off the stopcock in the riser near the lift.
- Call all relevant emergency numbers.
- Don't forget to inform your landlord!
If you're going away for a holiday/hometown..
- Inform your landlord by email, SMS or phonecall.
- For short absence, there is no need to prepare the flat.
- For long trips with no one in the flat, make sure you switch off the mains electricity & clear the fridge of food.
Make sure all water taps are shut & all windows are closed and locked.
- Make sure your Landlord owner have a key to enter the flat in emergencies!
